New York City is certainly a contender. It is certainly the modelling capital of the USA. Here you will have loads of choices of modelling agencies to send your portfolio off to, and although you will face a lot of competition in this huge city, you will work with the best people. 

If you are still thinking about modelling in America, LA is a close second to NYC. Los Angeles has the glitz and the glamour of Hollywood and the opportunity to turn your hand to acting, as well as modelling. It also has better weather than NYC, which is usually cold..at least compared to LA. The experiences you will get here, especially as an English-speaker are second to none.
